Study tour in Poland
The repre-sentatives of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and the Centre for Effective Governance System and Territorial Arrangement Reform (CEGSTAR) visited Poland for the study tour.
Task Force for Regional Development in Georgia will hold the second working meeting on 6th of June 2009, 12:30pm at Sheraton Metechi Palace Hotel. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and approve the Draft Diagnostic Report of Regional Development in Georgia.
The meeting will be attended by the representatives of Georgian central authorities, international donor organizations and the representatives of non-government and private sectors interested in the regional development.
The session will be opened by Mr. David Tkeshelashvili (Task Force Chairman), first Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure. After Minister’s speech, the Diagnostic Report on Regional Development will be presented and discussions will be held.
The Diagnostic Report has been elaborated by the Secretariat and the Working Groups of the Task Force. The report covers the analyses of the existing situation in the field of regional development and evaluation of the instruments already applied to support regional development.
After the Diagnostic Report is approved, the Task Force will start working on the Draft Strategy for Regional Development in Georgia.
