On August 12, 2010 an official meeting with the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure – Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili was held at Vano Khukhnaishvili Center for Effective Governance System and Territorial Arrangement Reform.

The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is pleased to announce the two successful Candidates of the competition held for Local Self-Governmental Officials in Georgia on the Master degree program in the field of law (LLM) at Emory University, School of Law (Atlanta, USA).

On July 8-9, 2010 an International Conference on Local and Regional Development in Europe: Contemporary Challenges was held in Batumi city by the organization of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia.

On 8-12^th of June, based on the invitation form Public Policy and Management Institute (Lithuania), three secretaries of Task Force for Regional Development in Georgia and the Director of the Centre for Effective Governance and Territorial Arrangement Reform have visited Lithuania. The purpose of the working visit was to get the support from Lithuanian side while elaborating the Strategy for Regional Development in Georgia and share the experience of the host country in this direction

The Task Force for Regional Development in Georgia has finished the first stage of work and has approved the draft Diagnostic Report on Regional Development in Georgia at the Task Force meeting held on 6^th of June at Sheraton Metechi Palace hotel.
